This past weekend, there was no better way to spend a frigid Friday night than walking Market Street in downtown Lewisburg for its annual Heart of Lewisburg Ice Festival.  Were we cold?  You better believe it.  Was it worth it?  Absolutely.    ice festival collage

My kids were fascinated by the ice sculptures and, of course, just couldn’t keep their hands {or tongue!} from wanting to touch them.  The icy duck in front of Purity Candy was a favorite, as was the gnome at The Gingerbread House.

To warm up that night, we went to storytime at Barnes & Noble where there were lots of stories & activities inspired by Disney’s Frozen.  Walking and dancing across the pillows seems to be a very pasttime of the under 48″ crowd!

Saturday felt like a heat wave at 40 degrees and sunny — perfect weather for a Winter festival, yet still pretty cold for the Polar Bear Plunge participants!

Thanks to Sweet Frog and Procare Physical Therapy and Fitness, we enjoyed a FREE movie at the Campus Theatre after a well spent day shopping our favorite stores.
