Dutch Wonderland voted Best Family Amusement Park by Amusement Today, has been creating royal memories with guests since 1963. Featuring over 35 rides and attractions, Duke’s Lagoon Water Play Area, & Exploration Island, the kingdom has been a cherished tradition and the home of many first experiences for families.
This magical amusement park is the perfect place for families with kids of all ages, but it’s mostly designed for younger children. With rides, attractions, and shows galore, everyone is sure to have a blast. Plus, when you get hungry or need a break from the excitement, there are plenty of places to eat and shop around the park. To top it all off, there are also several hotels and campgrounds in the area if you want to make a weekend out of it!
Opened in 1963 by Earl Clark, the park originally offered just four rides on 14 acres. Throughout the years, the Clark family added more rides and attractions. Hershey Entertainment & Resorts purchased the property in 2001. In November 2010, Palace Entertainment purchased Wonderland Amusement Management, which includes Dutch Wonderland and Old Mill Stream Campground. Dutch Wonderland continues to enjoy growth and change while keeping the unique charm and family focus established by the Clarks.
If you have kids that love dinosaurs, they’re going to love Exploration Island. You can take a self-guided adventure through the Prehistoric Path and visit over 22 life-like dinosaurs inside the park. Your kids will learn fun facts, travel through time, and get to hear them roar.
