Take the family to the ballpark for a fun-filled day watching the Altoona Curve, the Double-A Affiliate of the Pittsburgh Pirates. Opened on April 15, 1999, Peoples Natural Gas Field is widely considered by fans, players, baseball executives and media as one of the finest minor league baseball facilities in America.

Located just off Interstate 99 in Altoona, the ballpark features a beautiful brick exterior and the design is modeled after a railroad roundhouse to tie in the industry which helped found the city of Altoona, and is still very much present to this day.

Altoona Curve Ticket Information

If you’re local to Altoona, your family might consider season tickets. If you’re just heading there for the day or weekend, individual tickets are available for purchase.

Kids Zone

The Richey’s Dairy Kids’ Club is FREE for Curve fans aged 3-12 (children 2 and under do not need a ticket provided they are not sitting in a seat). Each membership comes with an official membership card which can be used for the following perks. Membership cards are available now and can be picked up from the Altoona Curve front office.

• One (1) FREE Grandstand, Weis Reserved Bleachers or UPMC Health Plan Home Run Junction OF Bleacher ticket to every Sunday home game, excluding July 3 (can be upgraded for $2 per ticket per seating level)
• 10% off kids’ apparel and novelty items in the Stockyard or Caboose Team Store
• Kids’ Zone free play on Sundays from the time gates open until first pitch

About the Stadium

The inside of Peoples Natural Gas Field features just over 7,200 fixed seats between two levels. The double-deck layout of the seating section allows for expansive lower and upper concourses, giving fans plenty of space to walk around the ballpark without having to fight through a stationary crowd of people.

The “Skyliner” roller coaster from neighboring Lakemont Park and the scenic Allegheny Mountains add to the overall beauty of Peoples Natural Gas Field.
