The Old Jail Museum is a significant historical site built in 1871 that served as the Carbon County Jail until 1995. The museum is particularly known for Cell 17, which contains a mysterious handprint left by a prisoner proclaiming his innocence. Despite numerous attempts to remove it, the handprint remains visible, adding to the jail’s mystique.
